Lu Ingat Saya Ni Bodo Ka??? (You Think I'm Stupid???)

Starting a few days ago, a young woman sent me a personal message on Facebook. It was a rather interesting message, which lead me to question her authenticity, and even her sanity. The following is the exchange. __________________________________________________________________________ Between  You  and  x xxxxx x xxxxxx  25 March at 14:52  Report How are u doing today?..Your profile caught my Attention and saw we had something in common...so i have decided to contact you...I shall tell u a little about myself am xxxxxxx from sabah a state in Malaysia but currently living here in England.......I intend to visit Malaysia soonest but i don't know anyone in Malaysia.I was hoping maybe we can be friends, Abdullah Mohd Nawi   25 March at 23:03 Sure, send me a friend request and we'll talk. x xxxxxx   26 March at 21:40  Report hello how are you doing today ..actually my late father is from sabah a place in Malaysia but since i was born i have never...

Aku, Bini dan Ginger Beer

Aku haus... Aku menadah tangan meminta kembali Ginger Beer kesayanganku yang berjenama Bundaberg buatan New Zealand. Saat itu tidak tiba-tiba... Aku tertanya-tanya... Mata terkebil-kebil... "Ni saya punya y...

And it all crumbles to dust..

Picture credit here 'Hey...' 'It's over...' 'My husband found out about us... It's over...I finally filed... for divorce' I cannot say that I was surprised at the words that I heard from her. She was on a crash course the minute she let her former lover back into her life... Not that she did anything overtly wrong... A call here here, an sms there, a Facebook message... but all spiralling faster and faster to the same direction... She was a beautiful 30-something, full of life, and so much to give, trapped in a dead-end... Married for more than 5 or 6 years, husband who didn't appreciate her, staying together not so much that she wanted to be with the husband, but more of staying together for the children... And the sad truth is - she wasn't the only one. Many women have confided in me the same thing... Each and every one different women, from different walks of life, with different careers, and different histories... Yet their stories are so com...

Men, Women and GPS

Sometimes one wonders how our two species even co-exist on the same planet here on Earth (though I do not dispute that I cannot do without these heavenly creatures). I know that it's a cliche, but men and women really have different ways of communicating. In this post and in some other future posts I will try to decipher some of the wonderful and mysterious ways that women try to convey their messages with. I think, one that remains a delightful mystery is the method of communication that I like to call the "Tone and Pitch GPS device". For some reason, I've noticed that many women that I've come into contact with have the abilty to transfer coded map information in the pitch and tone of their voices. It's a wonderfully mysterious device that I seem to have been born without... And oh how I wish I could own one. Allow me to illustrate: During my sister's wedding recently, almost all my uncles and aunts attended, and of course, while they were in JB they man...

Photographs

I was going through some stuff the other day, and I found a small collection of photographs belonging to someone I used to know... It really brought back memories.. I didn't have many pictures of her left... One of her and her friend.. One of her at the hairdresser... And one she took of herself..she looked really thin in the pic.. I wonder if she was eating ok at the time... Funny things, photographs... How they magically transport us back through the sands of time... Sifting through the meaningless maelstrom of images until we finally see meaning in them... How each sound reverberates through space and time, echoing in the vast caverns of the human mind... Faint, and barely discernable... the images start to become clearer.. like an old film reel projector whirring to life... I sit and watch those images in my mind, a lone solitary figure in a huge ampitheater... pitch black, except for the moving images on the silk screen... Funny things, photographs... Spend...
